I really miss my summer flowers
that grow in little brown pots
that crowd my front stoop and stairs
and make the buzzing bees content

they are fed by warm April showers
and grow shoots that tangle in knots
and burst forth in coloured pairs
and hide the cracking old cement

when I am surrounded by my flowers I have no cares
I know, I know, when it comes to flowers I’m kinda bent ;)
